I no longer practice in this area! For many years, iI had a collection practice where I represented one large client, but I no longer handle such cases. I filed hundreds of such lawsuits, primarily in Tarrant County courts, and I’m familiar with the personnel from clerks to the judiciary. Aside from offering advice based on my experience, I won’t be of much assistance in collection matters.
As a by-product of my collections practice, I have become familiar with the Federal and State Fair Debt Collection Acts. If you feel that one of these acts has been violated to your detriment, or if you need to defend yourself in a collection suit brought by a creditor, I will consider representation on an hourly basis. In successful, Fair Debt Collection cases may require the collector to pay your attorney fees.
